The Emperor's New Clothes is a classic tale written by the famed Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen: A king believes two tailors' claim that there's a special fabric that is only visible to smart people and orders a new outfit to be made of such fabric. To prove his intelligence, the king pretends he can see the clothes. When the king goes on a parade wearing his new outfit, he is ridiculed by his entire kingdom.
